The role of BCBA is to maintain a caseload of clients by conducting behavioral and skills assessments, designing treatment protocols, training and supervising behavior technicians on the implementation of that protocol, make data-based decisions on adjusting the protocol, collaborating with relevant professionals, and conducting parent training.
Required Skills & Experience
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB
- Current licensed applied behavior analyst (LABA) in good standing in the state of Massachusetts
- 2+ years as a BCBA with supervisory experience working with children and adolescents with ASD
- Exceptional professional and interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and manage their time wisely
- Must be organized, reliable, positive, enthusiastic, collaborative, flexible, and hard-working
- Day and early evening availability (8 am – 6 pm Monday – Friday)
- Reliable transportation
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Experience with VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and/or PECS is a plus
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, ) and functional assessment measures
- Develops individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and school/daycare-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data
- Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavior data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives
- Provides initial and ongoing training of Behavioral Technicians on the implementation of clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems, and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems
- Conducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation
- Is responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting supervision meetings with Behavior Technicians on an ongoing basis
- Meets regularly with the Elmtree clinical team and communicates issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction
- Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Director
- Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours
- Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers, and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner
- Acts as a team leader and team player on each case, including collaboration with caregivers and behavior technicians
