Individual Instruction

Sometimes, a more intensive approach to teaching social skills is required for a child to make progress. Barriers to success may include lacking prerequisite social skills, difficulty learning during group instruction, particularly nuanced social skills, shy or nervous children, or dangerous problem behavior.

Individual instruction can enhance your child’s social progress when conducted prior to or in conjunction with group-based teaching. In this format, your child will learn the skill(s) during 1:1 individual instruction. Once mastered, your child will be given the opportunity and support to generalize that skill to peer interactions.
